Corsage and Boutonnieres heading

Boutonnieres are usually worn by the groom, groomsmen, ring bearer, and fathers of the bride and the groom. Appreciation boutonnieres may be given to brothers who are not in the wedding party, Godfathers of the bride and groom, and any male who participates in the ceremony by singing, officiating, or playing an instrument. Depending on your budget and the size of your family, uncles of the bride and groom may also be honored with a bout.

Generally, the groom's boutonniere is a reflection of the bride's flowers using one or a few blooms found in her bouquet and can be as original and imaginative as the bride's bouquet. The groomsmen usually wear a single bloom that matches the bridesmaids' bouquets. If the maid of honor's bouquet is different from bridesmaid, the best man's boutonniere reflects her bouquet. This creates symmetry and balance in the bridal party and photographs.

Boutonnieres are as much a reflection of your personal tastes as every other aspect of the wedding. Some are simple single blooms with no leaves or filler flowers. Others may include gold chains, beads to pick up the sparkle of the bride's gown or in season berries. We will create your boutonnieres, and all of your arrangements, to be a reflection of your personalities and individual style.

Corsages are usually worn by the mothers of the bride and groom, and the grandmothers of the couple. Appreciation corsages can be given to sisters of the bride or groom who are not in the wedding party, Godmothers of the couple, or any woman who participates in the wedding by playing a song, reading something special, or performing a vocal piece. Depending on your budget and the size of your family, aunts of the bride and groom may also be recognized with a corsage. The purpose of these appreciation corsages is so that these wedding participants can be recognized by other guests as someone who played a special part in your day.

It is common for the mothers of the bride and groom to wear colors that compliment the wedding party. Because of this, they usually wear corsages of the same blooms as the rest of the wedding party. This helps to tie everyone together, and makes photos look more coordinated. Grandmother's corsages are usually the small blooms as the mother's but a bit smaller. Other options include a knot of flowers called a nosegay which is carried rather than worn or an arrangement of blooms to be attached to the purse they carry.

A wristlet is worn on the arm and is a great option for mother's with gowns made out of lighter weight fabrics such as chiffon. A pin-on corsage can be worn on the shoulder, but tends to work better when the mother's gown is a heavier fabric. Tussie Mussies are also popular. It provides a keepsake holder which can be filled with dried flowers after the wedding.
